In today's reading we hear how God lives within us all. How with all of the power, love and self control that he gives us also comes hardships.
I think we believe that to have done something wrong, make mistakes or come into hardships is some how a flaw in our belief in God. We think that if we had been better or believed harder that these things would not have happened.
The truth is that we are all only human and we do make mistakes. Unfortunately we have all also had some kind of hardship along the way. This has nothing to do with God or our love for him. It is just a part of life. Life is not always as we would like it to be.
The real tribute to God and our selves is not what has gone wrong but what we do to correct it. How we dig deep and gather up our strength from with in and face it head on and deal with it. That strength that lies within us is one of our many gifts from God. When we use the strength that he gave us to face obstacles in our paths and not run away from these things, we show our testimony to the Lord. You bear your share of hardships and become stronger from it.
